My Mini Movie – By: Zaria

Task description: This week during FIOP, I was working on my animation for this term’s inquiry task. I had to present a movie about an experiment of my choice. I had to animate myself doing an experiment. I had to explain and show what I’m doing and what we’re learning by doing this experiment. After that, I had to explain what types of things I used for my experiment.

My chosen experiment is called the walking water experiment. In this experiment, you’ll notice how the water moves up the paper towels along with the food dye particle. It is due to capillary action. This is the same way that the roots of trees absorb water from the ground. After I completed my mini movie, I posted it on my blog. I enjoyed this task very much, and I hope to do more like this soon. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave a comment; thank you for visiting my blog.

Trending Fashion

Task description: This week during Extension, we were learning about fashion and how different cultures have different styles of clothing. After that I completed the task, and I posted it on our blog. I enjoyed this task very much, and I hope to do more like this soon. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave a comment; thank you for visiting my blog.

Fashion is the most general term and applies to any way of dressing, behaving, writing, or performing that is favored at any one time or place. The current fashion, style often implies a distinctive fashion adopted by people of taste.

Fashion is a form of self expression and independent within the context of time, place or specific situation in relation to clothing, footwear, life styles, accessories, beauty treatments, hair & body position. The term refers to a style which is trending in the fashion industry.

For this task we had to choose 2 items of clothing from different cultures. After that we had to describe the culture, country/countries associated with this clothing. Then we had to describe the clothing and research any meaning behind this clothing (is it a fashion statement, sustainable choice, religious statement, environmental choice or other?) We got to choose however we would like to present our findings.
