For this task we had to imagine we were allowed to change our name. We had to share on our blog what we would change it too and why we would change it too that name.
Muhammad Ali is up there among many other of the greatest boxers in the world. He started his career and training at age 12. After that he went on to become the World Champion. Muhammad Ali is originally, an African American. He was born with the name Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. But he changed his name to Muhammad Ali when he became a Muslim.
If you were wondering why cassius Clay changed his name? It was because after the heavyweight champion grows close with Malcolm X, he announces to reporters that he’s renounced the name Clay, citing it as a slave name, and has instead taken on the name Cassius X. Concerned that Cassius would stray from the Nation of Islam, Elijah Muhammad offers him a new name to secure his allegiance: Muhammad Ali.
And if to could change my name I would change it too Layla or Hermione because it’s unique and Layla because it sounded nice. Layla is a very beautiful name, meaning night or dark and Hermione meaning messenger, earthly . These names are quite a unique name, but if I had to chose, It would probably be Hermione.
I also want the name to change my name to elena as it is beautiful and my name is Zaria, which is a nice name, but I often get called Zara, as it is so similar. If my name was elena, I will probably get called things like, le, lena, elena, and I’m happier with that.
